Naas Court Rules
-
Treat fellow club members with respect: This includes respecting their belongings and adhering to fair play principles. Be courteous on and off the court.
-
Scheduled games: Games will be scheduled through a rotation peg system, and we kindly request that everyone accepts their turn to play.
-
Considerate play: Skilled players should play considerately with less experienced players. This could involve playing softer shots, allowing them to retrieve more shots, and providing friendly advice.
-
Respect court occupancy: Refrain from entering a court while a game is in progress. This can disrupt play and could be dangerous if a shuttlecock is hit in your direction. Walk briskly past the court at time when play has finished.
-
Care for equipment: Shuttlecocks are expensive to replace, so treat them with care. Avoid hitting them along the court floor like a golf ball. Please pick them up. When placing usable shuttle back into the tube please make sure they are facing the "right way" to prevent the feathers from being further damaged.
-
Proper shuttlecock disposal: Please return well-used shuttlecocks to the designated red bin. This helps keep the courts clean and ensures there are always usable shuttlecocks available.
-
Footwear: Wear clean, non-marking indoor shoes to protect the court surface. Proper badminton shoes will prevent slipping and avoid unnecessary injuries from bad footwear.
-
When returning equipment, please place the poles in the designated area and try not to block the stairway. Nets should be folded and wrapped up to avoid tangling.
-
Communication: Communicate clearly with your partner in doubles play. Let them know when you are calling a shot or agree on certain styles of play to avoid confusion and prevent injury.
-
Sportsmanship: Be a good sport! Applaud your opponent's good shots, and avoid arguments about calls.
By following these guidelines, you can help create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone who uses the badminton courts.
